I'm looking for USA facts, history, cities and places information, things worth seeing, etc. Is there something on TV that I could watch?

There was a documentary-series produced some years ago called "Alistair Cooke's 'America'" where he tours the United States and speaks of it's history, culture, how the country has grown since the 1600's. You might be able to get it via Amazon or PBS.org video sales.
It's a GREAT series to watch
The History Channel also produced a short series called The States where each episode highlighted 5 'random' states across the country and gave little historical/trivial insights into the state's history, places to see, things to do. This might be more in line of what you are looking for. Again, it might be available through their web site.
