Update: Today I was taking my english final. On the essay portion, we had to have quotes as support from books we have read. We must cite the author for all quotes that we use. I did this, but I think I cited one of my authors incorrectly. Their last name was "Edward", but I cited it as "Edwards". There was another quote where I cited the wrong author. Also, we were allowed to bring a note sheet in with our quotes and topic sentences. I ended up rewording one of the topic sentences I had on my sheet. Will I be penalized for cheating through any of these?

Oh, for fcuk's sake, child, this is nothing more than sloppy transcribing. It has nothing to do with "academic integrity." You might lose a point or two for misspelling. Sheesh.
Misquoting wouldn't be plagiarism or cheating; it would simply be considered poor/sloppy research and writing. You will probably not violate any policies by misquoting, but it's not going to help your grade.
