Sustainable Growth Problem?

Hello!

I'm working on my environmental engineering homework and I'm not sure how to solve this problem.

Original Info: A farmer owns 20 chickens. After one year he has 100 chickens due to the reproduction of the original 20 chickens.

I solved that the growth rate is 161% and the doubling time is 0.43 years.

THE QUESTION: If the farmer wants to sell 1000 chickens per month, how many chickens must he maintain on his farm at all times to sustain his chicken-selling business?

I think I provided all the information necessary but if I left anything out please let me know!

Thank you for your response!

Sustainable development can be described as the development or growth that serves the requirements of the current society without affecting the future generations' ability to succeed. It is important because it emphasizes towards a greater drive to equality and elevation of poverty. It shows the importance of economic, social and environmental factors.
