Your statement is very vague... Do you mean there is nothing to be proud of because you see so many people who have been through so much more than you? If that is what you mean, i disagree. Pride is a relative term, to one boy i might mean winning his local town's cup, to another becoming world champion. You will always find someone richer, stronger, more attractive, smarter than you and if that prevents you from feeling any pride, well... Sad story, something needs to change. One last example... A father sees his son play football for the first time and he scores a goal, he is naturally proud however following your theory he shouldn't be because so many people do it so much better than him and much more often. Not sure if that was what you were asking but was my best guess ^^ Hope it helps :)
I can take pride in having nothing to be proud of (Oooff! what a relief; nothing to be proud of). It becomes a liability to be defended.
