a biological catalist is an enzyme. Catalists speed up chemical reaction times, and that is what an enzyme does for cells it speend up reations, and lowers the ammount of energy needed

It's known as an enzyme. Remember the mnemonic device:

"All enzymes are proteins, but not all proteins are enzymes." So, biological catalysts are also proteins.
