Concentration in molarity and osmolarity; check work please?

I'm going to type everything out, so it may seem a lot but I want to learn this :)

  1. What is the concentration (in molarity) of a solution made from 200g of NaCl (atomic weight = 58g) dissolved in 1000 ml of water?

(200g NaCl) x (1mol/58g Nacl) = 3.45 mol

3.45 mol NaCl / 1L = 3.45 M

  1. What is the osmolarity of the above NaCl solution?

2 parts solute, so [(3.45M + 3.45M) / 1L] = 6.9 osm
