There are many different ways that they can survive without having to move.
1) Root system -- most of these roots are so long and knotted underneath several of meters of soil. The soil is very rich with a lot of nutrients that are both macro and micro. Some of these are nitrogen, potassium, oxygen, magnesium and so on. They also are able to tap into water through the soil through the pressure of omsosis, and also from tugor pressure.
2) Photosynthesis-- this is the detailed process that converts carbon dioxide into oxygen, and also provides the plants with usable sugar to keep the plant alive.
3) Stomatas -- this is a guard cell within the epidermis of the leave, and will keep the fluids in the plant. This part of the leave also opens up and closes depending on sunlight, humidity, temperature and other factors.
Hopefully this helps you.
Plants actually do move somewhat it's just too slow for humans to see. Trees grow up towards the light and most plants will grow in the direction of sunlight (phototropism). To defend them selves from being eaten plants have developed defenses such as thorns or have chemicals that are poisonous. Some plants use herbivory as a method of spreading their seeds.
All their food comes to them. Sun and water from the sky - nutrients from the soil. No need to move!
