Yes it is true. When you factor in a couple of things it becomes obvious that women commit more violence against children than men.
It has been proven that women commit roughly 50% of DV against their spouses or significant others. This shows their capability to be abusive.
Access. Since they get custody far more often than men do that means there are many children in single parent homes where the mother has sole custody. They also tend to be the majority of childcare workers and primary school teachers. And therefore have more opportunities to commit child abuse.
But if you factor in emotional abuse then the number of female perpetrators rises significantly. As we all know women are more likely to use emotional abuse and blackmail to control significant others.
Yes it is true, but women do have more access to children.
