What does -(x-3)^2 mean? How would you solve it?

Is it actually (x+3)(x+3)????

The other answer is wrong, the correct solution is:

-(x-3)² = (-x+3)² = (-x+3)(-x+3)

x²-3x-3x+9 = x²-6x+9
