Most of the bright red and black species are aphidophagous (they eat aphids) and so may be found on any plant with these pests on them. Some of the smallish yellow and black ones feed on mildew. All this makes it is very difficult to cater for ladybugs specifically - just try to grow a wide variety of plants.
They like any plant with aphids or other tiny plant pests on it.
They eat the bugs, not the plants.
Just about any that would harbor aphids, scale insects and other small insects. they do avoid plants that might expose them to
predators (birds, mantis,spiders)
