What's it like to be high?

MJ is a wonderful aprhodisiac, so very often people's minds turn to sex when stoned. It is also a true appetite stimulant, so people do like those brownies. It changes your perception of time. Let's compare a non impaired driver with one high on cocaine and one high on grass. The sober driver is not overly distracted by anything. She obeys all the traffic regulations , and keeps a sharp eye out for possible danger.

The person high on cocaine thinks he drives best at 100 mph. The whole thing is an exciting rush, and if they run over someone, they wouldn't even notice becuase they're too busy fiddling with their snorting spoon.

Someone high on pot would be enraptured with the music on the radio or stereo. He probably drives under the speed limit, just to be extra careful. If he passes by a street sign he might back up just to make sure it said what it said, and by that time he's forgotten where he's going. But no mind! Light up another joint and let's see what happens.

Pot shifts your whole mind to the left. I don't mean this in a political sense, I mean it in a brain wave sense. I've actually felt this happen.

You can be so deeply into the music that you hear things you've never heard before (MJ amplifies the part of the brain that deals with language and music). I found it to be a wonderful tool for writing poetry, because under it my mind made connections to words that were strange enough to be worth writing about. It also highly activates fantasies, which is why people stare off into space when stoned. If you have any sense of humor at all pot amplifies it so much that everything seems funny (well, people can get paranoid on pot and even panic, so that's not funny).
