It is a kind word usually said to a child, "You little munchkin", meaning cute or delightful. Also, because children are always eating or munching on foods came that saying. However, before munchkin was pumpkin. It's really weird how food is referred to children such as:
1) My little cookie
2) You're as sweet as apple pie.
3) Sweet cakes
4) My little pudd'n
it could mean your cute or tiny
I always get called that! I think it means small and cute and like sometimes chubby cheeks .
And cheeky
