Hybrids in terms of genetics, are like carriers. For example, hemophilia is a sex-linked genetic disorder on a recessive gene. A hybrid who is heterozygous to hemophilia can carry the recessive allele and can pass it down through generations. Hybrids can have good and bad effects, depending on which type of trait/disorder we are talking about.
