GPS satellites, how do they work?

They are in 6 orbital planes equally spaced and inclined about 55 degrees to the equator. The satellites orbit at 12,554 miles altitude above sea level. How would they look on a map and how long does it take them to make one complete orbit?

GPS signals transmit at 1227.6 MHz and 1575.4 MHz, How do these 2 frequencies differ in speed and distance? How does weather affect GPS signals?
