I need help with some math problems!?

Okay so on a worksheet it tells me:

I think this one ^ is x/2+8

but I don't think that's right.

  1. Two is subtracted from a number, and then the difference is divided by 3. The result is 30. Find the number.

  2. A number is multiplied by 2, and then the product is added to 9. The result is 49. What is the number?

  3. After Ricardo received his allowance for the week, he went to the mall with some friends. He spent half of his allowance on a new paperback book. The he bought himself a snack for $1.25. When he arrived home, he had $5.00 dollars left. How much was his allowance?

PLEASE HELP ME! this is due tomorrow and I don't have anybody to help me!

You have to set it equal to 33, so

x/2 + 8 = 33

multiply thru by 2

x + 16 = 66

subtract 16 from both sides . . .
